How to make Shisa(Okinawan spiritual lion figure)

Pat the clay down into oval. Draw line on the clay to divide it into 4 parts. Cut off the clay into 3/4.
First, use 3/4 size of clay. Pat it down into slender. Put the clay on the board then hit it into flat. Cut edges of the clay with needle to make foot of Shisa.
Open the clay with your finger then make shape of legs. Longer the legs of Shisa with your fingers. Fold legs from the root of it.
Put them on the bord and deside pose of it. Use 1/3 of clay. Cut it into 1/2.

Round the 1/2 of clay into a sphere.

Make a bowl with your thumb. Expand the hole into wide.

Put the bowl shape of clay on th body part. The bowl shape of clay will be a head of Shisa.

Draw shape of head on the body part. Scratch where head and body stick together. It help them stick well. Spread glue both head and body part to stick them together.
Put head on the body of Shisa. Stick those two with pallet. Smooth it with your fingers.
Cut off the head to make mouth of Shisa. Round the clay into a sphere. Make two sphere for the eyes. Scratch the eyes with needle.
Spread glue then put eyes on the head. Draw white part of the eyes. Make some ears, nose, tongue, tail, and etc. as well.
